TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION (TSC) RECRUITMENT 2026: POST PRIMARY TEACHERS FOR JUNIOR SCHOOLS (P&P)
The Teachers Service Commission invites applications from qualified candidates to fill 20,000 Post Primary teacher posts in Junior Schools across Kenya to support the implementation of Competency Based Education (CBE).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS:

Must be a Kenyan citizen.

Must hold at least a Diploma in Education with a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects in KCSE or its equivalent.

Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Must be unemployed and have no record of exiting the teaching service with the Commission due to disciplinary grounds.
GENERAL INFORMATION & RECRUITMENT GUIDELINES:

The TSC Guidelines for Recruitment of Post Primary Teachers for the 2026/2027 Financial Year shall apply.

Manual applications will not be considered; all applications must be submitted online.

Candidates must present original academic and professional certificates during verification.

Selection of candidates will strictly be on merit and based on the number of vacancies available per county and sub-county.

Successful candidates will teach various learning areas under the Junior School Curriculum.

The official TSC application portal opens on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, and closes on Monday, 31st August 2026 at midnight.

The recruitment exercise is completely free of charge. The TSC cautions applicants against fraudsters demanding money for recruitment.
