DEMULLA INVESTMENTS LIMITED KAKAMEGA RECRUITMENT: ASSISTANT SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LEAD VACANCY

Demulla Investments Limited, a leading micro-lending institution providing innovative tech-driven financial solutions to micro and small businesses, is currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Software Development Lead to join their technology team in Kakamega on a full-time basis.

JOB OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain robust full-stack applications, REST APIs, databases, and system integrations.

  • Support the continuous development, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise and ERP systems.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior developers, allocating tasks and monitoring delivery.

  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce best coding, testing, documentation, and security standards.

  • Resolve system defects, performance bottlenecks, application security gaps, and data integrity risks.

  • Manage server deployments, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel 11+.

  • Frontend experience with Vue 3, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Database management experience using MySQL and PostgreSQL.

  • Experience working with REST APIs and third-party system integrations.

  • Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), Nginx, PHP-FPM, and Supervisor environments.

  • Proficiency in Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.

  • A strong understanding of application security, database optimization, and multi-tenant architecture.

  • Willingness to relocate to and work directly from Kakamega.
