DEMULLA INVESTMENTS LIMITED KAKAMEGA RECRUITMENT: ASSISTANT SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LEAD VACANCY
Demulla Investments Limited, a leading micro-lending institution providing innovative tech-driven financial solutions to micro and small businesses, is currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Software Development Lead to join their technology team in Kakamega on a full-time basis.
JOB OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain robust full-stack applications, REST APIs, databases, and system integrations.

Support the continuous development, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise and ERP systems.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior developers, allocating tasks and monitoring delivery.

Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce best coding, testing, documentation, and security standards.

Resolve system defects, performance bottlenecks, application security gaps, and data integrity risks.

Manage server deployments, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel 11+.

Frontend experience with Vue 3, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Database management experience using MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Experience working with REST APIs and third-party system integrations.

Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), Nginx, PHP-FPM, and Supervisor environments.

Proficiency in Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
-
A strong understanding of application security, database optimization, and multi-tenant architecture.

Willingness to relocate to and work directly from Kakamega.
